The 500-hp, dual-motor, all-wheel-drive Type S with air suspension, adjustable dampers, and upgraded brakes will join the 340-hp, single-motor, rear-wheel-drive A-Spec. An A-Spec should cost $60,000.
Giulia's Ferrari-derived V-6 will be replaced by an electric powertrain in 2025. The base Veloce will have 350–800 horsepower. Top Giulia will remain Quadrifoglio and 1000+ HP. Stellantis Group's 800-volt, ultra-rapid STLA Large platform with 500-mile range will power New Giulia.
Although a concept, Audi claims the A6 e-tron is near manufacturing. Premium Platform Electric (PPE) scales with EVs. It includes the gas-powered A6 and PPE-based Q6 e-tron SUV.
Dual electric motors produce the A6 e-tron 469 hp. All PPE cars have 800-volt charging, and this huge sedan can go 400 miles.
Bentley plans to switch from 15-mpg land yachts to all-electric vehicles. Bentley plans to replace the Bentayga, Flying Spur, Continental GT coupe and convertible and offer a new model by 2030. The first replacement is expected around 2025.
The Ford Explorer is a popular SUV in the U.S., so going electric makes sense. In May 2021, Ford's three-row SUV would join the Mustang Mach-E and E-Transit electric van. Mach-E and F-150 Lightning-style rear- and all-wheel-drive Explorer EVs with 318-hp hybrid V-6 powertrains are expected.
Survival strengthens you. Or, like the Chevy Bolt, death strengthens. The July announcement by GM's CEO of the small EV's revival suggests such. The second-generation Bolt will be tech-focused and affordable, says Chevrolet. New Bolt will employ Ultium platform and debut in 2025. Though details are unavailable, we believe the 2018 Bolt will exceed its EPA-estimated 259-mile range.
