There's no denying that AI has been seeing a meteoric rise in popularity over the last year or two, and this trend doesn't appear to be going anywhere soon.
People who are optimistic about these trends are not limited to ordinary investors. Everyone from billionaires to VC firms to the largest IT businesses in the world is excited about artificial intelligence (AI) right now, and one startup in particular is getting a lot of attention.
Many people are interested in the humanoid robot that Figure AI is developing; they call it Figure 01. Brett Adcock, a serial entrepreneur who also started the aerospace firm Archer Aviation, which is developing an electric vertical takeoff and landing plane, was its founder.
Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT), Nvidia (NASDAQ: NVDA), Amazon (NASDAQ: AMZN), billionaire Jeff Bezos, Cathie Wood of Ark Investment Management, and artificial intelligence (AI) genius OpenAI (the startup that may have started the AI revolution) were all backers in the startup's most recent round of funding. The start-up was valued at over $2.6 billion after raising about $675 million, according to Figure AI.
When it comes to warehouses, transportation, and retail, there is a severe scarcity of workers. However, Figure AI has created an autonomous robot that can assist. Figure just published a video last week showing its development.
Apparently, there aren't enough people to fill the seven million open positions in these industries. Providing BMW with general-purpose robots for car production was Figure's first commercial arrangement, which was recently announced.
Figure AI is a privately held startup, therefore investors may have trouble investing directly. However, they can invest indirectly. Buying shares in Microsoft, for instance, will provide you indirect exposure to Figure AI, albeit a tiny amount, since Microsoft is one of the biggest investors with $95 million.
But if you want to be a part of the AI revolution, there are a lot of other reasons to buy Microsoft.
STAY TURNED FOR DEVELOPMENT
